Between the 28th November and the 5th December, 2021 INIA welcomed its consultants Prof. Shereen Hussein (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine) and Prof. Mohammed Ismail (University of Oxford) for an international working visit on ‘gerontology & geriatrics’ in the Middle-East.

During this visit which was held in Malta, a set of meetings were scheduled with Prof Marvin Formosa, Director INIA, and Rosette Farrugia-Bonello, Deputy Director INIA, on future collaborations within the area. Prof Formosa was interviewed on his views on ‘Healthy ageing’ and Prof Hussein was invited as guest lecturer at the University of Malta to deliver a lecture to gerontology and geriatric students on ‘Developing a scale of work-related quality of life for adult social care staff’. Complementing this working visit was a site visit to Golden Care Home, one of Malta’s care homes.
