The International Institute on Ageing, Malta (INIA) in collaboration with the Dave Omokaro Foundation, INIA’s Satellite Centre for Sub–Saharan Africa organised a virtual training programme in Gerontology and Geriatrics. This was the second virtual training programme to be held this year. The five-day virtual training attracted participants from five African countries namely Botswana, Mauritius, Nigeria, Rwanda and Zimbabwe. Participants held Senior Government positions, University Academia, Medical practitioners and Civil Society Organizations. The programme was delivered in two streams between 23rd to 25th November 2021 and 29th to 30th November 2021. The training was formally declared open by INIA’s Director Professor Marvin Formosa, along with Rosette Farrugia-Bonello, Deputy Director INIA & Co-chair INIA Satellite Centre for Sub-Saharan Africa.
