The International Institute on Ageing United Nations-Malta (INIA),  in collaboration with INIA Satellite Centre in Russia, St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology , St. Petersburg City Social Medical Geriatric Centre and Gerontological Society of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) organised the 7th International Training programme in Gerontology and Social Aspects of Ageing. This was held between 8-12 April 2019 in St. Petersburg, Russia. Lecturing on the programme was INIA’s Director Prof. Marvin Formosa and INIA’s tutor Dr. Alexandre Sidorenko together with other local academics. Apart from the lectures, the participants had also the opportunity to visit St. Petersburg City Medical and Social Geriatric Centre and also to a Retired Actors’ Home.
