LIBRARY
& DOCUMENTATION
The collection, registration and classification of relevant information on Ageing
are facilities of great importance which have to be continually updated.
Through an exchange of documents, data bank information and publications with the
United Nations and other bodies, research and training institutions, INIA
constantly reviews and updates its information in order to provide
efficient and reliable services to its users.
Consequently, INIA has established an
extensive and comprehensive specialised library of books, journals
and reports in order to facilitate its training and research
components. All these resources are used by scholars as well
as participants and tutors of its training programmes.
The library's cataloguing system is
computerised and holds short abstracts of books and journals in
order to provide a more efficient and reliable service. It also has
the availability of Popline and Ageline databases on CD Rom.
Requests may be made to the librarian in order to ascertain if
specific publications are available. Presently the library has over
1,000 books, journals, reports and audio-visual material at its
disposal.
